We usually don’t use a sauce this sweet for agedashi dofu around here, but maybe it’s not a bad idea… BTW, I like tofu-and- beansprouts combination most of the time, but not very much in miso soup. I made this miso soup just because I didn’t want to waste the tofu and sprouts, but it’s definitely not my favorite kind of miso soup.obachanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18146311760014752971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8421337.post-1127533842256114562005-09-24T12:50:00.000+09:002005-09-24T12:50:00.000+09:00JuliaYeah, I think the bean sprouts add an interes...Julia
Yeah, I think the bean sprouts add an interesting flavor. When I tried this tofu steak with the sauce and garlic slices only, the tofu tasted a bit tasteless inside, so I experimented with this and that, and liked the addition of bean sprouts the best.

Jme
Hmm…chicken mince sounds good, too. I guess I’ve tried it with boiled tofu before.

crystal</obachanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18146311760014752971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8421337.post-1127502863721613522005-09-24T04:14:00.000+09:002005-09-24T04:14:00.000+09:00This looks yummy...I never would of though to use ...This looks yummy...I never would of though to use silken tofu in a dish like this, but I'd like to try it! That dish looks really good; my mom does a similar dish, and I love it. Sometimes, we use chicken mince instead of beansprouts, and for the non vegetarian, it's divine!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8421337.post-1127495406440699672005-09-24T02:10:00.000+09:002005-09-24T02:10:00.000+09:00obachan, this sounds like a really yummy but easy ...obachan, this sounds like a really yummy but easy to prepare recipe. I love the addition of adding beansprouts for sweetness and crunch. This dish would go very nicely with rice.
