Avocados on Sale

Avocado and Shrimp Salad

Avocados were on sale today!

I made Avocado and shrimp salad with Italian dressing. (Yeah, I still had some frozen shrimp left from the terrible soy-milk champon night.)

With the rest of the Avocado, I tried the idea that I got from
OsloFoodie's site recently and was dying to try out.

Avocado in evaporated milk with honey

This combination was something I could never ever think of myself. Yummmmmmmmmmy! :)

hi, obachan! thank you SO much for the detailed recipe you emailed me. i can't wait to try it!

your biscuits also look good but since I'm no baker, I'll have to talk hubby into making some.

thanks again!

No problem. Sorry that the recipe wasn’t from the Japanese site that I linked in my post about suiito poteto. Hope you enjoy making them.

It must be nice to have a hubby who bakes biscuits for ya. ;)

Hi Obachan, we filipinos actually eat our avocados as a sweet, similar to the avocado with mild and honey recipe. Have you ever tried avocado ice cream? It's yummy! Another take on avocado I learned from my grandma is to squeeze lemon or lime on an avocado half, and sprinkle with sugar. Scoop out and enjoy!

Hi JMom,
No, I’ve never tried avocado ice cream. Is that something you buy at the store or do you make it at home? Avocado with lemon squeeze and sugar sounds easy to try. I’ll go for it sometime soon. Thanks JMom!!
