Garden Report - March 2005 -

Young leaves of my blueberry

It has been terribly cold and windy for the past 2 days so I thought my plants were probably frozen to dath. I saw today, however, the young leaves are growing OK in my balcony garden, telling me it’s spring now.

Young leaves of my dogrose

Maybe I should go look for early cherry blossoms somethime this week.

Lovely, just wish I could see the tree better...

This reminds me of seeing Japanese cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in Brooklyn, NY growing up. That was a sure sign that spring was here!

Hi Oba-chan, I wish your blueberries and other plants lots of luck this year! Please keep me updated!

By the way, my gobo didn't too well. I think it's too hot in desert for them.

> MrsT --- Oh please do so. I’m looking forward to seeing the pics.

> Grace Toy --- I didn’t do a good job getting a closeup ;P Yeah, cherry blossoms are absolutely a sign of spring. I’ll post some pics of them sometime soon.

> Jonny --- Thanks, Jonny. I’m really anxious to pick some blueberries from my own balcony garden this summer. Sorry about your gobo! I thought growing small-size gobo in a planter was a brilliant idea… Too bad.

> pinkcocoa --- Oh, no. I might be all thumbs, but never had a green thumb ;P
