Garden Report - March 2006 -

Getting Ready for Spring

After I took these shots, I found one of my neighbors looking at me with a puzzled look on her face. ;P

Oh, pretty! It must be a little warmer there than it is here. I am planning a patio garden this year... it will be the first time I've tried to grow plants in a long time.

Also, I just spent about three or four hours translating a simple recipe from Orange Page into English. I really admire your English skills, that you can so easily use English recipes! I hope someday my Japanese will be that good. Otherwise I might go cross-eyed from the effort....

Patio garden sounds gorgeous! Good luck with your plants ;)
Orange page has nice recipes, doesn't it?
Your Japanese will be much better than my Engrish pretty soon, I'm positive. Right now my problem with English recipes is not only the language but the conversion... You may not believe this but I use the online converter and still make mistakes sometimes... :(

It's my blueberry plant, "sunshine blue." ;)

Yeah, it must be warmer here... and the whole nation is suffering from cedar pollen allergy now.

Pretty blueberry plant you've, Obachan. Can't wait to see it bears fruits! :-)

To me this is surprising… the leaves turned colors last autumn, and stayed that way throughout winter. Now I think the new buds are going to grow into green leaves, then… Will my blueberry have the mixture of these purple-reddish leaves and new green leaves this spring?? Mmmm…. I’m so curious.

Yeah, I can’t, either! :D
